        Transmedia Festivals : Audiosoziale Gemeinschaften zwischen künstlerischem Experiment und Ökonomisierung

        Abstract
        This book illustrates and conceptualizes a new form of festival that became pervasive since the 2000s which I term transmedia festivals, that showcase works of an artistic avant-garde deriving from pop and club culture, and outlines the struggles of its protagonists in an increasing economized cultural sector.
         
        Transmedia Festivals sind ein hybrides Eventformat, das sich im 21. Jahrhundert in Europa und weltweit als neues Eventformat etabliert hat. Hier werden Kulturtechniken, Lifestyles, Audiosoziale Gemeinschaften, Soundwelten, Medien, Technologien und Netzwerke sichtbar, aber auch Dynamiken, Ideologien und Machtstrukturen, die zunehmend auf Kapitalmaximierung, dem Abbau von sozialen Sicherungssystemen und auf Monopolisierung basieren. Anhand der Transmedia Festivals lässt sich aufzeigen, wie soziale, ästhetische und wirtschaftliche Aspekte heute zunehmend verwoben sind.
