        Abstract
        Der Band bietet Urkunden Kaiser Friedrichs III., die im Wiener Stadt- und Landesarchiv aus der Königszeit (1440–1451) überliefert sind. Die überwiegend an den Wiener Stadtrat gerichteten königlichen Schreiben fokussieren vor allem auf „nahe“ liegende Handlungsfelder, wie die Stadt, Niederösterreich und die Grenzgebiete zu Böhmen und Ungarn. Eine Besonderheit der Wiener Überlieferung sind die zahlreichen Interventionen Friedrichs III. für Bürgerinnen und Bürger in mitunter schwierigen Lebenslagen. Der König erscheint erreichbar, daher nahe und durchaus im Sinne der Bittstellenden effizient. Es zeigt sich eine von Lebensnähe und Aktivität geprägte Herrschaftspraxis.

        Export search results
