Chapter Lavoro, impresa e globalizzazione nell’opera di Luciano Gallino
dc.typechapter
oapen.abstract.otherlanguageLuciano Gallino’s sociology is centered on three problems: modernization, technological innovation, and the quality of work. Gallino’s sixty-year of writings three phases can be discerned. In the first phase the investigations concern the possibilities of improving the quality of work. In the second phase the main object of analysis is the process of modernization, especially the relationship between the formal and informal dimensions of the economy, with special regard to cases of double jobs, work flexibility and job insecurity. In the third phase, from the late Nineties to 2015, Gallino broadens his perspective to include the analysis of processes of globalization at organizational and ideological levels. The investigation focuses on the one hand on the characteristics and consequences of the financialization of the economy and, on the other, on the de-responsibility of the business company.
