        Der Wall von Stillfried an der March : Von der Palisade zur mächtigen Befestigung der späten Urnenfelderzeit

        Abstract
        The excavation results of the Late Bronze Age hillfort at Stillfried an der March are being presented to experts for the first time in printed form. This defence system has four stages of expansion and is in a remarkably good state of preservation. The main building materials used were wood, loess and earth.
         
        Erstmals werden die Ausgrabungsergebnisse der urnenfelderzeitlichen Wallbefestigung des „Zentralortes Stillfried“ (1000–800 v. Chr.) als gedrucktes Werk der Fachwelt vorgestellt. Zu belegen sind vier Ausbaustufen dieser Verteidigungsanlage, die einen bemerkenswert guten Erhaltungszustand aufweist. Hauptbaustoffe waren Holz, Löß und Erde.

        Export search results
